ABOUT JOY

As a Mom, I understand the demands of juggling work, motherhood and keeping healthy.

As a Woman, I understand that the gym or lifting weights can seem intimidating.

As a post-40, I know the importance of resistance training as we age.

Previously a trainer at a large commercial gym, Joy came out and started started her own PT business so that she could spend more time with her daughter, while still doing the thing she loves — helping people through fitness.

Seeing that many women feared “being bulky” and was not tapping into the powerful benefits of training. she decided to help change this. By helping Women (mostly 30s and up) learn to lift!

She has worked with clients through multiple pregnancies, as well as Silver-Gen women, and has extensive experience in these two special populations.

While she brings fun and challenge onto the table, she also believes in explaining the reason for the exercises — the WHYs behind the WHATs.

Her fitness philosophy is “Health First”, preferring an evidence-based, sustainable, long-term approach to fitness.
